On Campus
A place for learning, discovery, and expansion - a place for you.
GIA On Campus programs attract students from every corner of the globe.
From the moment you set foot on a GIA campus, you are immersed in a cultural environment that directly mirrors the global nature of the jewelry industry. You’ll meet classmates who will become not only friends but also industry colleagues and part of your personal and professional network.
Study in the heart of it all at the GIA World Headquarters and Robert Mouawad Campus in Carlsbad, California. Or at GIA New York, located in the center of Manhattan, home to the famous Diamond District, or at any one of GIA’s campuses around the globe. Regardless of where you choose to study, you’ll have access to the finest gem and jewelry training available.
Get Hands-on Experience
GIA’s intensive class curriculum is designed for rapid skill development. Each program lets you practice and perfect your skills under the watchful eye of a trained professional. In fact, in our Graduate Gemologist (G.G.) program you will work closely with your instructor and classmates on actual stones. You’ll test and identify hundreds of stones, including unusual and challenging ones. As a Jewelry Manufacturing Arts student, you will learn how to become a respected designer and bench jeweler by studying jewelry illustration, fabrication, repair, and stone setting.
Bottom line: through extensive practice in a lab-like setting, you develop the ability to take what you learn today and put it to use tomorrow.
Save Time
When you study at any of GIA’s campuses, it can take as little as 6 months to acquire the skills and recognition of a fully qualified professional. Because classes are small and instruction personal, students quickly develop highly valued technical skills in diamond grading, gem identification, jewelry design, and jewelry manufacturing. And with programs beginning almost every month of the year, you can start learning almost immediately.
